We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD drafter to join our team, specializing in the creation of fire alarm system drawings. In this role, you will be responsible for translating engineering designs into accurate and complete drawing sets that meet industry standards and project specifications.
$70,000 - $80,000
Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and update detailed drawings for fire alarm systems using AutoCAD.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent.
- Prepare drawing sets that include floor plans, riser diagrams, calculations, and wiring schematics.
- Prepare submittal booklets that include data sheets, CSFM listings, and record of completion forms.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes and standards, such as NFPA 72, California Fire Code and local authority regulations.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Perform quality checks on your work to identify and correct any errors.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CAD Drafter, with a strong focus on electrical or low-voltage systems preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must, minimum of one year.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and their components is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 72) is a significant plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical plans.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
