This position is responsible for learning the trade of Portable Fire Extinguishers in the fire protection industry. This position provides valuable work experience by working alongside a shop technician in the service.

This position is responsible for learning the trade of Portable Fire Extinguishers in the fire protection industry. This position provides valuable work experience by working alongside a shop technician in the service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- General warehouse operations such as receiving freight, operating a forklift, and stocking the warehouse
- Recharging and testing portable fire extinguishers
- Maintain inventory stock levels
- Maintain adequate shipping supplies
- Perform inventory counts as required
- Keep shop organized and clean
- Maintain, clean, and organize all shop tools
- Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns
- Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:
- Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Any vocational training is strongly desired.
Other Duties:
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and/or wiring.
- Frequent ladder climbing and checking, pulling wire, etc.
- Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead.
